Showing placeholder demo data — real contributors will appear here via the opt-in /new-contributor Discord command.

Put yourself on the map

The map is opt-in: you only appear on it by registering yourself through the Discord bot. Location granularity is your choice. Country is enough, and a city makes your dot precise.

Run the command

In any channel on the Arrow Discord, type:

/new-contributor
Pick your location

Choose your country from the list. Optionally add your city or town by typing and picking from the autocomplete. City is optional on purpose: if you'd rather not share it, your dot is placed in the general area of your country instead.

Choose your disciplines

Select up to 3 disciplines, the things you actually work on, from Mechanical/CAD to Governance/Ops. These show as tags on your profile card.

Write a short blurb

One line about what you do (140 characters max). No links needed, since your Discord and GitHub are linked from the card already.

Add your GitHub username

Optional, but recommended if you contribute code or CAD. The bot knows who you are on Discord, but it can't work out your GitHub handle from that, so this is where you tell it. It becomes the GitHub link on your profile card and the avatar fallback if your Discord avatar can't be used.

Confirm and wait for the merge

The bot snapshots your Discord avatar and opens a pull request with your entry. Once a maintainer merges it, your dot is live on this page. Change of plans later? Run /new-contributor again to update your entry, or /remove-me to come off the map entirely.
